Haircut #2

Carson's hair grows like crazy! This time he wasn't so sure about getting a haircut. After some bubbles and a lollipop, he was a happy camper!

Holiday of Lights

We went to the Del Mar Holiday of Lights with the DeMuth family. We had a great time driving around the track looking at all the light displays while listening to Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate. The boys loved looking at all the lights. Afterwards, we drove through a neighborhood nicknamed Christmas Card Lane, known for their themed decorations.

All Bundled Up

We are loving the winter weather...finally! Carson is actually wearing the jackets that he owns. This is the first time he has been able to wear his 6-12 month jackets and he is now 17 months old! They may be a little snug on my little guy but we are finally getting some use out of them.

Going For It

Poor Clare didn't know what to think when Carson went in for the kill. Watch out ladies, Carson loves to give kisses!

Visit with Charlie Vick

We had a fun visit with Alex, Charlie and Leticia in LA. Alex got a glimpse of how crazy life is with a toddler! I think she is thankful that Charlie is only 6 months old. The boys had fun playing with Charlie's foam letter tiles and books.

A New First

Okay, so Carson definitely has never done this before. We are in the process of switching from two naps to one and I was trying to make sure he had a full tummy before going down. He conked out in between bites! It worked though...he took a 3 hour nap (another first)!!

Carson Feeding His Baby

Carson did this completely on his own. I thought it was way too cute!

Denniston Family Picture

My neighbor, Kristen, was very patient with our crazy bunch and we got a couple good shots. It is definitely challenging to make everyone happy!

Carson & His Loveys

Carson has become very attached to his loveys - Porter the Puppy & his blue blankie. He refuses to sleep without his blankie and reaches out for it all the time saying "this, this". We may need to make the blankie a crib-only lovey or we might have a Linus on our hands!

Dinner with the Szekeres Family

We had a nice time last night with Carson's Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jeff & Aunt Amy. Carson loved being center of attention and enjoyed eating dinner with the grown-ups. He better get ready to share the spotlight with his cousin, Jackson, that is due to arrive January 4th! We are so excited for Carson to have a little cousin and to become an aunt and uncle for the first time.

Meeting the Sesame Characters

Carson is a BIG fan and walked right up to the characters. Later in the afternoon he was playing peek-a-boo with Elmo & Big Bird. I wish I would have videotaped it. We just started watching Sesame Street with him and he is addicted! Elmo and Cookie Monster are his favorites.

Afternoon at Sea World

On Friday we went to Sea World with Kristen & Austin and Shereen & Izzy. Carson loves it there. His favorite things to see are the penguins, the beluga whales, and of course he loves to play at the Sesame Street-themed Bay of Play. We got there right in time to see one of the character performances and Carson was captivated!

Expanding Belly

Carson's baby sister is growing and is apparently the size of an avocado now. We are still working on the name. For now, we are between Brooke Elizabeth & Riley Elizabeth. We thought this was a funny picture...Carson has no idea what he is in for!

Train Ride

Last weekend we met my parents and Auntie Erin at Irvine Park. Carson just started liking trains, like most toddler boys, so we thought it would be fun to take him on his first train ride. Grams joined us on the train and Carson really enjoyed it.

Big Boy Haircut - After Shots

Carson's First Haircut

So Carson has his first haircut yesterday, and of course I cried because his baby curls are gone. He is such a big boy now! He was really good and didn't wiggle much at all. The hair salon is super cute with the chairs in the shape of race cars, airplanes and sports cars and they play children's videos on the plasma screen tvs on the walls. He was very entertained! His big boy haircut looks very handsome, but I miss his curls ; (

Carson's Afro - Before Shots

This what Carson's hair looked like before the big haircut. Dave lovingly referred to it as his "Bozo Hair".

Another Fun Day at JW Tumbles

Carson loves to go to JW Tumbles! It is fun to go to make-up classes on Saturday so that Dave can join us.
