Getting Cozy with Grams & Auntie Laura

Carson was excited to have visitors last night. Auntie Laura was staying the night with us and Grams came for an afternoon visit and to make a delicious dinner for us. Carson loves to have lots of people around. He certainly loves attention! He was giving out lots of waves, kisses and cuddles.

New Favorite Toy

After playing at Corbin's house yesterday, Carson found a new favorite toy. He is loving the Fisher Price corn popper. It cracks me up that this is a toy that I played with when I was little. It is the perfect toy for our new walker.

Pumpkin Patch Addicts

There are two things I love the most about October....pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks (too bad I can't enjoy them this year) & pumpkin patches. This is trip #4 and we have determined that Carson loves playing with pumpkins, especially trying to pick them up, he likes train rides, and he is not a fan of petting zoos. I must admit that I don't mind his aversion to petting zoos since they are pretty stinky and dirty.

New Kicks

Check out Carson's new cool shoes. Now that he is walking (when he feels like it anyways), we figure he better wear shoes now. He loves to look at his feet in his new Converse sneakers and, unfortunately, he has discovered how fun shoe laces are to play with.

Baby Charlie

We had a great visit with Charlie & Alex in Orange County. Little Charlie is absolutely adorable! Carson got some big brother practice while sitting on the couch with him. It was too cute when Carson grabbed his hand!

Big Fan of Sunglasses

Carson loves to get his hands on sunglasses. Although we don't let him play with ours, he somehow seems to charm his Aunties & Uncle Gavin into letting him have theirs. There has only been one casualty so far. Uncle Gavin learned his lesson!

Messy Monster

It kills me, but all the parenting books and magazine say I should let Carson feed himself. He certainly enjoys it, but it is ridiculously messy! I'm not sure how much food is actually making it into his mouth so we just let him feed himself occasionally for now. Life is about to get a whole lot messier!

Cousin Philip's Wedding

Carson attended his first wedding and had a great time. We were pleasantly surprised with how well he did. He got all dressed up and really enjoyed the huge dance floor to explore. He is a big fan of dancing, especially "dips"!

Dave's Surprise 35th Fiesta

We had a great birthday celebration for Dave. Somehow I pulled it off and he was really surprised. It was so hard to keep all the planning from him. It was a fun fiesta with lots of guacamole, margaritas, tequila shots, sombreros and a donkey pinata!

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

I'm back! My computer crashed, but now I am back in business. About a week and a half ago we made our first trip to the Del Mar Pumpkin Station. Carson loved it! He particularly enjoyed the train ride and playing with the pumpkins. He was not a fan of the petting zoo and when a woman brought a bunny (an animal a little more his size) up to him he pushed it out of the way....maybe next year! It is hard to believe that a year ago we went to the same pumpkin patch with Carson dressed up as a pumpkin on his 3 month birthday! I'm sure we will go back several more times before Halloween.
