Pregnant Mamas

It was great to see Missy for her baby shower in the beginning of February. We are both so excited to be having baby girls with due dates less than two weeks apart. I only wish Miss lived closer! We are excited for Missy & Baby Girl Kunz to come to Orange County this summer for a long visit. Hopefully the girls we be good friends like their mamas!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes

Carson's favorite word is "NO" after that it is "choo choo" and then "shoe" or "sock". In fact, shoe and sock were among his first ten words. It is so funny to see him go through his obsessions with trains and shoes after watching our neighbor, Austin, do the same thing about 9 months earlier. I can always depend on Austin to see the next stage that Carson will go through. For months now he has been trying to fit his feet into shoes of all sizes and is constantly bringing us shoes to put on our feet. He gets frustrated when he already has a pair of shoes on and doesn't understand why we can't put another pair on too.

Kissing Bandit

Carson is not as forthcoming with his kisses as he used to be. I'm lucky if I get a goodnight kiss these days! With Clare, it is a different story. She came over to play and was barely here two minutes before Carson went right up to her and planted a big kiss on her. Clare politely kissed him back the first time, but wasn't up for round 2.

Choo-Choo Mania

So we were warned that it would happen, but it still amazes me how Carson has become obsessed with "choo-choos" without any prompting or encouraging from us. If there is a train to spot, Carson will find it. He enjoys going for train rides at the UTC shopping center and "choo choo" is his favorite thing to say next to "no".

Meeting Cousin Jackson

Carson met his first cousin, Jackson Dening, on Sunday. Jackson is one month old and looks just like his daddy. He is an adorable little guy and we are so happy they live just 5 minutes away from us!

Brave Boy

Carson spent Monday at Children's Hospital for his asthma. We are all still learning how best to manage it and he was really struggling with it on Monday. The poor guy had to undergo some unpleasant things, but he was a trooper. Children's Hospital is a fantastic medical facility. They were very nice and gave Carson toys, books and coloring books to take home. As pleasant as the experience was, I hope it is our last trip there! He is feeling much better now.
